Scope
StoneID is provided by Hangzhou Climbfyre Technology Co., Ltd. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the StoneID mobile application, its public website, and related services.
Information we collect
StoneID may process the following information:
- A device-based account identifier created so the app can authenticate, synchronize records, and restore access.
- Your name, email address, and Apple account identifier if you choose Sign in with Apple. Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your personal email.
- Photographs you capture or select for stone and mineral identification.
- Collection records, stone details, favorites, notes, scan history, and questions you choose to save or synchronize.
- Subscription product, purchase, renewal, expiration, and restoration information supplied by Apple and RevenueCat. StoneID does not receive your complete payment-card details.
- App interaction and device information used for security, diagnostics, analytics, and advertising attribution. When required, advertising-identifier access is requested through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- Search terms needed to retrieve relevant third-party mineral listings.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Authenticate your device or Apple account.
- Upload and analyze submitted photos, provide identification results, answer follow-up questions, and show related market context.
- Save and synchronize your galleries and collection records.
- Validate subscriptions, restore purchases, and provide Premium features.
- Detect abuse, protect the service, diagnose failures, and improve reliability.
- Measure which advertising campaigns lead to installs, paywall visits, checkout starts, trials, and subscriptions.
- Respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests.
Advertising attribution
With your permission, the Meta SDK may collect device identifiers and record app activation, completed identification, paywall viewing, and checkout-start events. RevenueCat may send trial, purchase, renewal, and revenue events to Meta through its Conversions API integration.
Your stone photographs, recognition results, collection notes, name, and email address are not sent to Meta for advertising.
If you do not authorize tracking, privacy-preserving and aggregated attribution may still be available through Apple and Meta without access to your advertising identifier.
Service providers
We use service providers only as needed to operate StoneID:
- Apple for App Store distribution, Sign in with Apple, subscriptions, and payment processing.
- RevenueCat for subscription validation, entitlement management, and subscription event delivery.
- Meta for advertising attribution and campaign measurement.
- Amazon Web Services for hosted infrastructure and encrypted object storage.
- AI service providers for photo analysis and follow-up responses.
- eBay services for relevant public marketplace listings and market context.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. They may process data in countries other than the country where you live.
Storage and retention
Stone photographs submitted for recognition are stored in private cloud object storage. Access URLs expire and are regenerated only for authorized app requests. Account records, synchronized collections, conversations, and subscription records are retained while your account remains active or as necessary to provide the service.
When you delete your StoneID account in the app, the service deletes the account, associated database records, and cloud-uploaded files owned by that account. Limited information may be retained where required for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, tax, accounting, or other legal obligations.
Your controls
You can:
- Decline photo, camera, or tracking permissions in iOS Settings.
- Review and remove collection records in the app.
- Restore or manage subscriptions through Apple.
- Delete your account from Profile → Help → Delete Account. This action is permanent.
- Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or another privacy right available in your jurisdiction.
Security
We use authenticated requests, access-controlled storage, expiring download URLs, and reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No service can guarantee absolute security, so protect your device and Apple account credentials.
Children
StoneID is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information should contact us.
Changes
We may update this policy when StoneID or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
